so, um

Filed under: misc — petiteanglaiseparis @ 10:05 am

I seem to have tempted fate and spoken a little too soon. I have some further edits to do, after getting some helpful feedback from t’other side of the Atlantic, and I will be tweaking and fiddling for another couple of weeks before I allow myself a few days away in Lucy Pepper Land (also known as Lisbon, Portugal).

Which means I’m a little too busy to tell you about the Arctic Monkeys at the Zénith last night, the rave I’m going to at the weekend, the picnic on Sunday during which Tadpole put her foot (quite literally) into an exquisite Dalloyau chocolate cake, the loveliness that was a visit from Mr and Mrs Little Red Boat

so, um, sorry folks… Will try to write more soon.

  1. What a busy calendar !

  7. A few days in Lisbon, I guess I’m a little jealous. Having spent 2 years in Oerias, between Lisboa and Estoril, I know you’ll have great time. Are you taking your “New” friend? Too many places to recommend, just go out and enjoy yourself in a fantastic city.

Re the film, who would you petition to play you? Or, should we expect you to play yourself, or perhaps a big name actress with you making a cameo appearance?

    Happy editing.

  8. If you have time and the will to read some very introspective musings after all your tweaking, get a copy of The Book of Disquiet by Fernando Pessoa before going to Lisbon. Even if you just read a few pages, it is a real insight into the melancholic Portuguese soul, “saudade” and all.
There is an excellent translation into English by the marvellously talented Margaret Jull Costa….
Best of luck in the final laps of the editing process!

  11. ‘the rave I’m going to at the weekend’, lose yourself in the music, shake your boody, steer clear of the disco biscuits, have fun and drink plenty of water!

Ask them to play ‘hardcore uproar’ for me. ;-)

    Wish I was go’in. ;-(

  20. i can’t afford a holiay. i can’t do jealousy either, mainly because i don’t care about people who have priviledged existences at the expense of people like me. my eyes are a shade of green. do you know what that means in the secretive world of esoteric understanding? i do. it means my eyes are a shade of green. i’m so bored.
