I don’t know Petite, I think we prefer this year’s version by Tadpole.
Joyeux Noël to you both and may Papa Noël bring lots of presents for both you and Tadpole.

If I have my time zones right, Papa Noel is nearing Britain and France right about now; it is late afternoon here, dans le Missouri. Tadpole’s singing and picture have brought good cheer to this quiet household. Thanks to both of you for sharing her gifts with us. Warmest wishes and blessings to you and yours.
(Methinks she sounded a teeny bit more English this year than last; both renditions were sweet. What a treasure she is.
Joyeux Noel,
Pam

Merry Christmas! We were treated to more pedestrian songs this evening, by my 2 1/2 year-old nieces, who alternated between Rudolph and the ABCs song! Same age and very adorable with their funny, croaky voices.

Too cute! It brought a smile to my face on a night I have eaten and drank way too much and am feeling completely sorry for myself for having done so!
Thanks for that!

Happy Christmas and New Year Petite to both of you. I find your blog frank, revealing, and interesting , which cannot be said for all of your competitors.
Good luck with your new projects.

Lovely! Fabulous scowl!
I was amazed to not detect a French accent when she sang in English. Especially when she’s so strongly ‘French’ when she speaks French! Charming!
It made sense in my head…

Salut de la Malaisie!!!
I came across your blog when a local newspaper had an article about blogging et al.. and i immediately became oh-so-religious to your blog. I even saw it on December’s issue of Marie Claire UK. Wow wee! T’es vraiment impeccable! I love your writing and i am so in love with Tadpole’s singing. Je crois qu’elle est tres intelligent parce qu’elle parle deux langues tres tres bien.. vachement impressionnant. Looking forward to reading another of your fantastic, epoustouflant post !
Joyeux noel et Bonne annee a vous deux!

Merry Christmas Petite & Tadpole!
And all the best for the coming year!
Comment by Jt — December 26, 2006 @ 11:32 pm
Tadpole looks very…frustrated in that picture. Is it the antlers? Or do all children do that?
Comment by Mlle Smith — December 27, 2006 @ 1:40 am
Aww, I am definitely going to make the effort to pass on French to my children. Petite Tadpole sounded so unbelievebly cuter in French than English, I think my ovaries were humming along!
Comment by Isabelle — December 27, 2006 @ 1:54 am
What a splendid rendition of ‘Away In A Manger’ – treasure it………..that is Christmas as you should remember it.
Comment by Voyager — December 27, 2006 @ 8:47 am
Mlle Smith – I asked her to do an angry face, for fun. Obviously there were many other pictures in the sequence but I chose this one as her face is obscured by the Frog. I prefer not to show my daughter full face on the internet.
Comment by petite — December 27, 2006 @ 1:05 pm
Sooz, my Frenglish daughter does the same: she has a slight French accent combined with some posh (lol yes!) English accent when she speaks in English but she has no accent when singing. I think she just catches the genuine sounds, music and words, from the DVDs, TV, etc.
Happy New Year
Comment by Rog — December 27, 2006 @ 5:27 pm
Joyeux Noel et tous mes meilleurs voeux!!
Funny ‘angry’ face! LOL! Loved the song this year and last year, can’t decide which one I like best.
Hope your Xmas was better than ours which was fraught with family strife.
;-)

Petite
I just stumbled on your blog today and just love it. Your little tadpole is just precious! Wishing you and your family a belated Joyeux Noel. May your upcoming year be filled with songs and laughter.
Comment by Mary Ellen — December 28, 2006 @ 1:53 am
Tadpole looks really sweet in the picture, I can see the likeness to you, Petite. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to hear her singing the song as things have been so hectic here and it doesn’t seem to be available now. Hope you enjoyed your Christmas as much as our family did…this year we decided not to turn the TV on much and played games instead, we even sang songs round the piano so it was a really old fashioned Christmas, we all had such fun.
Comment by Sue — December 28, 2006 @ 2:36 am
Ahhhh…now I get it. I thought it was the Eddie-esque antlers. :0)
Comment by Mlle Smith — December 28, 2006 @ 2:45 am
Hope Christmas went well. Have a great 2007, both of you.
May your wishes come true.
