I stumbled onto your weblog from Chocolate & Zucchini and I’m so happy I did. I love hearing about your life in France — I’ve never been but would love to take a trip there one day.
My secret? I’ve been trying to teach myself to speak French for the past few months via books and tapes. Not even my husband knows I am doing this.

Hello Petite, I consistently enjoy your writing and look forward to new installments. In honour of your willingness to share your life here is a secret from mine: no one except a close friend in another hemisphere knows that I am thinking of leaving my partner of 3 years. We live a happy loving life together but it is being corroded by the acid fact he cannot/will not say ” I love you”. So simple. So hard. So important.

I, too, am a faithful reader who will comment now only because it’s fun to tell secrets….

…when applying for colleges, I told everyone that I didn’t want to go to “art” school because I thought it was more important to have a well-rounded education, when really I was worried about discovering I wasn’t talented.

I’m still working in the arts, so I guess the talent is there afterall….
