Oh, she’s definitely got something going on.
She’s the anti-babe, refreshingly different from any other female telly presenter. She’s old fashionedly conventional, which is in itself, unconventional. Terry Wogan’s listener’s describe her as the woman from the forties made of wool.

She obviously goes about doing what she loves with a great of enthusiasm.
And Beth likes her because she’s refused to be dressed by ‘television wardrobe stylists’ who would never normally allow someone like her to be on the telly. And she has no hangups about being plump.

I wouldn’t say I fancy her (I’m talking about Kirstie again now) but I like her a lot and her ridiculousness appeals greatly.

I’ll shut up now.

Am I missing something, Tim? I finally saw Location X3 on BBC ‘Prime’ and I just didn’t fancy her AT ALL.

It’s a shame google are no longer tracking comment feeds, though. I bet the search terms will become far less amusing as a result.

Those naked Kirstie searches just never stop, do they? She’s currently got a new series on in the UK which probably accounts for a lot of the, erm, current ones.

I’m starting to feel a bit ashamed of myself about it.

I couldn’t see referrals at first because I hadn’t dropped the right version of the sitemeter code into my template, there are two versions on the website. I can’t remember what the difference is, but switching to the other one made it work…

You can tell I’m not a web techie, can’t you?

You *can* get some of that info – SiteMeter gives you the basics on how people got referred to the site, but also how long they stayed, how many pages they viewed etc.

My most serendipitous referral so far is ‘ERP’.

I used it to transcribe how my Korean colleagues pronounced ‘elf’, but it turns out it’s an important term in the IT industry.

Already got two visitors from it, because I used it in conjunction with the word ‘phone’ and that seems to spark curiosity.

I wonder how many such visitors decide to stay and read and perhaps come back…

Vivi, which site meter or counter do you use? Most of them have a referral section in the stats somewhere, you just need to look for it, write to them, and/or switch to one that does.

On sitemeter it is free to look at the address your visitors came from (the referral) and you can see the search words, if any, in the address, but they do not allow non-paying members to see the special referral page where they summarize all this in a more readable format.

Statcounter has free referrals stats, but they call it ‘came from’.

The most bizarre search strings I’ve had were “Miss Piggy naked” and “me naked”. I’m not sure which disturbs me the most.
